A critical component of the Five Year Forward View for the NHS is a workforce strategy for health and care. Despite a growing workforce, NHS staff are under real pressure.with the number and complexity of the patients we care for, continues to increase.
But there’s still much to be done to ensure all staff – including nurses, therapists, doctors in training, support staff, midwives, health visitors and scientists - are properly supported.
BOB ICS is working collaboratively as a health care system to achieve improvements in quality, staff health and wellbeing and make financial savings.
Development of a workforce strategy setting out the workforce implications of the ICS's ambitions in terms of workforce type, numbers and skills, including leadership development;
Development an action plan that looks at the investment in workforce required to support ICS delivery, identifying sources of funds to enable its implementation
